It seems the LA Galaxy have been preparing for life without Zlatan Ibrahimovic long before the big Swede announced his departure yesterday on social media.

Sky Sports Italia outfit Di Marzio reports the organization have initiated talks to sign striker Edison Cavani from French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain. The Uruguayan international has struggled to make an impact during the current Ligue 1 campaign as injuries and the stellar play of Mauro Icardi have left the 32-year old short of playing time.

PSG are in a position to demand a transfer fee with Cavani’s contract expiring in summer of 2020, but the Galaxy organization are likely capable of accommodating the Parisians. Interestingly Di Marzio has also revealed David Beckham’s Inter Miami already have an informal agreement with Cavani.

The question is, how much does Cavani have left in the tank? The elegant striker has the ability to do great things in MLS, but is a 32-year old striker too old? Tell us what you think in the comments.
