Just one away.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, at this minute, is one goal away from Carlos Vela in the Golden Boot race.

In the 9th minute of the regular season finale for the LA Galaxy, Zlatan Ibrahimovic accepted a pass from Sebastian Lletget and found himself with time and a bit of space on the left corner of the 18-yard box.

However Ibra was in a standing position with no momentum whatsoever. Normally this would thwart a striker, but Ibrahimovic is no ordinary striker. The big Swede took a moment before backpedaling and flipping an inch perfect curve ball of a shot that went over and around Tyler Deric and in.

As we mentioned before, Ibra is now currently a single goal behind Carlos Vela for the Golden Boot race and a single tally behind Josef Martinez for 2nd on the all-time scoring charts.

Meanwhile Decision Day continues across the league. We’ll continue to keep you updated.
