LA Galaxy Sporting Kansas City match preview: What to watch, predicted starting 11 and TV schedule

Can LA win three straight at the StubHub Center?

Sunday the LA Galaxy will aim for their third straight home win at the StubHub Center as Sigi Schmid’s side take on an evolving Sporting Kansas City. (6 PT, FS1)

What to watch:

Leaky in defense and prolific on the attack, SKC are a different animal in 2018 and lead the Western Conference standings as a result. Despite losing Benny Feilhaber and Latif Blessing in the offseason, a team that has struggled to score goals for years have been outgunning their opponents, following up a 4-3 road win over the Chicago Fire with a 3-2 victory at home vs. the Quakes in recent weeks.

A 1-0 home win over D.C. last week may be a regress to the mean, but the Galaxy will have to be on the lookout for midfielder Felipe Gutierrez, who in addition to setting up his teammates has put away five goals in five matches.

What’s the word on the injury front? Romain Alessandrini, Jonathan dos Santos and Michael Ciani have returned to full training while Giovani is still nursing a hamstring pull.

Could Ibra earn his first start? According to the Galaxy Insider, Sigi’s thinking about it.

Predicted starting 11:
