Whoa.
The LA Galaxy were on an American Airlines flight en route to New York to battle David Villa and NYCFC this Sunday when the unimaginable occurred: One of the passengers had become unresponsive. LA Galaxy Insider Adam Serrano was on hand and witnessed the ordeal.
Woman was taken to a local hospital by paramedics upon landing in Las Vegas.

Well done to the coaching staff as well as Dr. Jennifer Ashton for working in tandem with the American Airlines flight crew to revive the woman!
If you’ve been following the Galaxy for some time, you probably remember one of the darkest days in team history. Flying back from Costa Rica following a CONCACAF Champions Cup tie vs. Saprissa, President and General Manager Doug Hamilton suffered a heart attack in the air and was unable to recover. (For the record, Doug was a decent man who accomplished a lot during his successful tenure)
In the meantime, the Galaxy are back on their way to The Big Apple.
Update: Kevin Baxter at the LA Times has more details on the encounter.
