This morning the Galaxy announced that Norwegian striker Ola Kamara has secured his green card. Previously LA had nine internationals on the roster, but with Kamara’s paperwork cleared the Galaxy are now fully compliant with league regulations which allow for a maximum of eight internationals.
LA Galaxy forward Ola Kamara received his green card earlier this week, the club confirmed.
Kamara departed for Scandinavia immediately following the Galaxy’s final preseason match and obtained his documentation on Wednesday.
With Kamara’s green card, the LA Galaxy are now compliant with the league’s international roster spot regulations.
The forward is available for this weekend’s match against Portland Timbers.
Additionally, this probably means veteran center back Michael Ciani is going to stick around for a while longer. The news the past couple of weeks has trended towards Ciani returning as it is, but that now appears to be official.
If the Galaxy were to sign Zlatan however...then LA would have to make a move or two.
