It’s true. Jelle Van Damme LOVES playing against the San Jose Earthquakes. Last time, he score-boarded them late in a 4-2 victory at Avaya Stadium.
Today, he cemented his place in this rivalry by scoring a stunning goal (his first for the Galaxy!) early on in the match at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto.
Now this is a big, bald, beautiful Belgian goal. #SJvLA pic.twitter.com/QwtJN4dKvr

Jose Villarreal stood over the free kick and placed the ball perfectly into the box with his left foot.
Look at Van Damme in the clip. He curls away from the pack, runs into space, and then fires a volley into the back of the net past David Bingham.
Look, we know he’s not a striker. But any striker in the game would have been ecstatic scoring a goal like that.
Who will score the next goal? Will there be another goal scored tonight?
