Injuries were the cause for concern again this week. Baggio Husidic is of course still out, but Brian Rowe picked up a groin injury during training, while Daniel Steres will probably be unavailable to play.
Goalkeeper: Kempin
Jon Kempin will get the start in goal for the LA Galaxy against D.C. United tonight. With Rowe out and Clement Diop with Senegal, the 24-year-old is going to have to show up against United.
Defense: Diallo, Romney, Van Dame, Cole
There will be a slight change in the defense, with Dave Romney filling in for the injured Steres. Bradley Diallo will have to step up his game today and try to be more cautious about flying in to challenges. We definitely cannot afford a suspension right now.
Midfield: Pedro, Garcia
Joao Pedro scored his first goal for the Galaxy against the Earthquakes last time out. He’s slowly turning into a solid MLS midfielder and that’s good to see.
Attacking Midfielders: Boateng, Dos Santos, Alessandrini
With Gyasi Zardes not doing much at the top of the formation, these three have provided the vast majority of the offense for the team the season. While Emmanuel Boateng doesn’t score many goals, he’s a constant threat down the wings, creating chances with just his speed.
Forward: Zardes
Okay, for real though, will Zardes ever score a goal again? No, but really?
