The LA Galaxy keep on rolling and on Saturday they put an end to their first big road trip of the season when they take on D.C. United.
Don’t look now but the Galaxy are now sixth in the Western Conference with 17 points from 12 matches. If you are counting it is now three straight victories for Curt Onalfo’s men and five games without a defeat. The Galaxy’s latest victim was the San Jose Earthquakes in the first Cali Clásico of the season, game where the five-time champs earned a 4-2 victory.
The fact that the Galaxy are not just winning games, but winning them away from home has many believing that they have turned their early season woes around. And against D.C. United, the Galaxy will face a team whom they have just one defeat in their last 12 games. D.C. United aren’t exactly having a good season, as they currently sit penultimate in the Eastern Conference and have four defeats in their last five matches.
There is a lot of work to do and tough games are to be expected, but for now things are looking up for the Galaxy, who are now flirting with the top-five position in their respective conference.
