Now the waiting game begins.

Sebastian Lletget had successful Lisfranc surgery yesterday, as Da’ Boy announced the news (where else?) on Instagram.

Lletget had scored the opener during the U.S. Men’s National Team World Cup Qualifier vs. Honduras and was looking lively when Seba was injured on a late tackle and had to be substituted out of the match. Originally ruled as a foot sprain, it turned out Lletget has a Linfrasc injury and would be out 4-6 months.

“Surgery was a success! The healing process begins. I don't know how to even begin to describe the gratitude I have towards this angel right here. Going to be a long journey, but having you next to me has made it so much easier.”

It’s a little disheartening seeing a dazed Lletget sitting in a hospital bed. The former West Ham product was playing at another level before the injury. Hopefully this is just a temporary setback and Seba is on the field again soon.
