Gyasi Zardes is expected to make his return to the LA Galaxy lineup as Bruce Arena’s men play host to the New York Red Bulls at StubHub Center on Sunday. The United States international is making his return after picking up a small injury prior to last week’s game.
In total, the Galaxy are riding an unbeaten run that extends to seven league games now, while the Red Bulls have not lost in their last five. The Galaxy have obviously improved within the last two months, and as such, they sit comfortably in a playoff position. The same, however, could be said about the Red Bulls, who currently occupy the fourth position in the Eastern Conference.
When it comes to two teams that will likely be in the mix for the MLS Cup title, look no further. Add to that the fact that the Galaxy and Red Bulls don’t play very often, and this game is a worthy ending to another MLS week.
Match date/time: Sunday 9:30 pm EST, 6:30 pm local
