For the first time since coming out of retirement, Landon Donovan returns to the starting XI as the Los Angeles Galaxy take on the Houston Dynamo.
Sebastian Lletget has been thriving in the central midfield role since Bruce Arena moved him there and slots in next to Baggio Husidic. Husidic, on the other hand, replaces Jeff Larentowicz. On the left flank, Emmanuel Boateng takes over for Raul Mendiola and will look to use his pace to beat a few of the Dynamo defenders.
Also, Alan Gordon is today’s captain.

Robbie Keane is experiencing hip flexor tightness while Steven Gerrard is back in England receiving treatment. This means, that the bench is made up of a few LA Galaxy II youngsters. Ari Lassiter, Rafael Garcia, Dave Romney, and Raul Mendiola are all possible options late in the match.
Veterans off the bench include super-sub Mike Magee and regular Jeff Larentowicz.
