LA Galaxy FC Dallas match preview

Can the Galaxy get the attack going again?

Jeff Swinger-USA TODAY Sports

It's now or never for LA.

With just four matches left including Sunday's huge clash vs. FC Dallas at the StubHub Center (6:30 pm, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports Deportes), there's no getting around it: The Galaxy have to start scoring goals and picking up points if they want to earn a favorable playoff seed. (And potentially host a MLS Cup)

And yet, LA have been shutout the past three league matches, so how do the Galaxy go about fixing the attack?

I for one don't believe the Galaxy's defeat to Real Salt Lake last weekend was a terrible tragedy. Starting Gio up top made sense, after all, Dos Santos is coming back from a groin injury and isn't as mobile as you'd like, so stick him alongside Robbie Keane and hope the pair can create some magic.

Though Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle wasted no time exposing the Galaxy's attacking issues, LA had lots of opportunities to score, which as Cobi Jones pointed out on the broadcast, isn't something the Galaxy are used to at Rio Tinto. If the Galaxy finished better and not had a nightmarish defensive outing, the game could have gone differently.

Expect LA to mix it up in attack while being very wary of Fabian Castillo, aka that really fast skillful guy no one in the league can stop but only hope to contain.

And get there early if you want that match poster, because its a work of art that's going to sell out.
