Landon Donovan has been a busy man since retirement. He's traveled the world. He's coached the homegrown game, and, according to a recent Instagram announcement, he's gone and made himself a baby.

That's right. Landon Donovan and his wife Hannah are having a baby, and it's honestly the best news in the entire world. For starters, given this child's pedigree, there is a 60-70% chance he or she will be born with some kind of super power, and it's probably advisable to any parties invited to put a hand on Hannah's belly to try and feel the baby kicking, to put on one of those protectively padded catchers gloves before doing so.
While we do not know the gender, it's probably best for both Jurgen Klinsmann and Jill Ellis to pencil this child in on the next World Cup roster. None of this U-17, U-20, or Olympics nonsense. Baby Donovan's development should not be stunted by any of these half measures. If this child is going to lift a World Cup someday, he or she needs tournament experience now! CAP HIM OR HER NOW!!!
All kidding aside, this is absolutely wonderful news and we couldn't be more happy for Landon Donovan and his wife. Knowing the type of person Landon is, he will no doubt make an excellent father, and we wish him and his family the best.
