And the road trip continues as the LA Galaxy head up to Canada to take on the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Galaxy will be looking for points after two straight weeks of disappointing results, but Vancouver is a much improved team and a hard one to play away. Can the Galaxy pull it off?
Read our full preview here.
What to Watch:
- Robbie Keane has been in a slump of sorts lately. You can read all about it here. Getting him back on track will be key for any result.
- Vancouver is a team with a lot of speed and a guy in Pedro Morales who can serve an excellent ball. This makes them notoriously deadly on the counter which has been the Achilles heel for the Galaxy over the past two seasons when Ishizaki and Gargan are paired together. Keep an eye on our right side as Vancouver will no doubt try to exploit this vulnerability
- A.J. DelaGarza and Omar Gonzalez together at last! Leonardo may have upped his game, but the Gonzalez/DeLaGarza tandem remains our strongest and most balanced. With Leo out with an injury, Bruce will have no choice but to dust off the best center back tandem in league history.
- Which brings us to Octavio Rivero. Vancouver's new striker is the real deal. His movement and finishing are excellent, but he's also the type of striker that A.J. excels in shutting down with his positioning.
