Landon Donovan has been named MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters for week 25 of the MLS regular season. Donovan recorded a goal and an assist against DC United, before adding two more assists in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Chivas USA.

Against DC United his goal came off a penalty kick and his assist came from a corner kick, but against Chivas USA the Galaxy had their run of the field and Donovan's run of play assists were something to see: the second pulling Dan Kennedy out and letting Gyasi Zardes get the break, but the first a lovely no look pass that is worth taking another look at.

Gyasi Zardes ended up nominated for MLS Goal of the Week with his empty net goal that Donovan assisted, a team goal that was the result of great buildup. Robbie Keane was also nominated for GOTW, as that chip over Dan Kennedy was instantly impressive.
