Chivas USA fans expect some sort of announcement made this week as to the future ownership of the club, but today Steven Goff tweeted out a bleaker picture than perhaps some were expecting.
MLS asking $60 million for Chivas USA property. It's a fixer-upper. At least one curious party to meet with league execs.

That figure is less than what MLS expansion franchises have sold for recently, and less than the figure reported for MLS' purchase of Chivas USA earlier this year. MLS taking a loss on the whole enterprise of wrestling the franchise from Jorge Vergara's grasp certainly isn't what fans of LA's other team were expecting.
The public face of the club hasn't gotten much better since the takeover. Chivas still get awful kickoff times at the StubHub! Center, leading to poor attendance like last night when they announced less than 4,000 tickets sold. For Galaxy fans, these facts have to measured against comments Chris Klein made to season ticket holders after the match Saturday.
Chris Klein says in the next year, they want to make StubHub a true home for the Galaxy...

The oft rumored future for LA2 involves a downtown stadium at the current site of the Sports Arena. The StubHub! Center is entering its tenth year of existence. There are certainly things fans see other newer stadiums have and covet for the soccer stadium in Carson.
How long will Chivas USA be the second tenant in Carson? Do any plans to improve the experience at StubHub! have to be made with a second team in mind? Green was fitting for the Galaxy when they built the place, but now it feels like a neutral choice between the two clubs that share it.
The Chivas USA ownership story is one to pay attention to this week and next. The All Star Game is the annual time when commissioner Don Garber holds court with prospective new owners; Sacramento is allegedly pitching Garber this week and that mystery curious party interested in LA2 is likely there as well.
That franchise's future affects what AEG can do to better the LA Galaxy's future at the StubHub! Center.
