LA Galaxy homegrown forward Jose Villarreal has returned from his loan spell to Cruz Azul, and will join LA Galaxy II on loan. He'll be available for the Galaxy II match against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday. He'll join his brother Jaime Villarreal who was signed to LA Galaxy II last week.

Jose Villarreal had two goals and one assist for the Galaxy last season.

In other Galaxy youth news, Oscar Sorto was named to the US U-23 national-team roster for a four day camp in the Bahamas as they prepare for 2016 Summer Olympics qualifying. Tab Ramos is overseeing the camp which is beginning its process early, likely with the 2012 failure to qualify as a motivator.

"The chance to get this group of players together and get ahead of the curve in preparation for Olympic Qualifying in two years' time is huge," said U.S. Soccer Technical Director Jurgen Klinsmann. "We began with the U-21 camp in April, and now it's critical that we have as many camps and games as possible so we can build a deep pool of talent that can qualify for Brazil. The Olympics are an important opportunity for young players, and we have to capitalize on it. We also want to give a big thanks to the Bahamas Football Association for hosting us."
