Today it was announced that the LA Galaxy will be represented by two homegrown players at this year's inaugural MLS Homegrown Game. Gyasi Zardes and Bradford Jamieson IV, both submitted as forwards, will both be on the Homegrown player team that will take on the Portland Timbers' U-23s.
The match takes place on August 4th and is a part of the MLS All Star Game festivities in Portland. Each MLS club was asked to nominate players for the roster, with the final twenty selected in consultation with MLS Director of Player Programs Alfonso Mondelo, who will coach the Homegrown team. Twelve MLS clubs will be represented at the game this year.
Jamieson has scored five goals in thirteen appearances for LA Galaxy II on the first year of his homegrown contract while Gyasi Zardes has scored three goals and one assist. The full roster is as appears below:
