The LA Galaxy trot out a familiar lineup tonight to face Real Salt Lake, although the big surprise is the complete and utter lack of Omar Gonzalez. The returning World Cup starter who waved to the crowd on the Fourth of July is not in the match day eighteen man lineup. Leonardo is the only defender listed on the bench.
As LA Galaxy Insider hinted at earlier in the week, Bradford Jamieson IV cracked his first matchday 18. Stefan Ishizaki is given a rest as he and Baggio Husidic seem to be platooning at the wide midfielder position these days. Landon Donovan is listed as the CAM with Juninho at DM as the Galaxy go back to the diamond against the diamondiest team in MLS.
With Samuel off back to Brasil, young forwards Chandler Hoffman and Bradford Jamieson will get a chance to earn a place as an attacking option off the bench should the Galaxy go into the final minutes needing a goal. Both have shown capable in USL-PRO of being the guy with a nose for goal.
