  • Gyasi Zardes' match winning goal against Vancouver made SportsCenter's Top 10 plays. Here's a sideline view of him chasing down Dunivant's long ball and putting it away:

  • The big story Sunday was Landon Donovan getting his swagger back as the US routed El Salvador to advance to the Gold Cup semifinals. USA Today covered both angles, saying the talk about Donovan falling out of love with soccer is silly as he scored a goal and notched three assists. He'll be joined by Omar Gonzalez in Dallas for the semi-final matchup Wednesday against Honduras.
  • SportsBusiness Journal has a profile on Chris Bettin, the force behind MLS Digital. The profile discusses MLS soccer's newest digital project Golazo, which really aims to be a second screen experience for those watching MLS on TV.
  • One of the bright spots for El Salvador in their loss against the US was Rodolfo Zelaya. He got MLS attention last Gold Cup, at the age of 21. He was unabashed about his desire to come to America after the match yesterday, saying he's already talked to his club back in El Salvador.
  • After losing out on Giovani dos Santos, Zelaya could be a consolation prize capable of playing the second striker role. Zardes has stepped up recently, but Keane's health is a concern and with CONCACAF Champions league on the horizon the schedule will be impacted once again.
