Landon Donovan starts for United States vs. El Salvador

Landon Donovan will slot behind Chris Wondolowski, playing the no. 10 role and getting the target man his opportunities.

Landon Donovan plays an attacking midfielder role today against El Salvador, slotting behind Wondolowski playing the no. 10 role. Matt Besler is the only reinforcement to jump directly into the starting XI, and should the US prevail he'll likely be partnering with Omar Gonzalez next week.
