  • The Guardian focused on the role youngsters Jose Villarreal and Jack McBean played last night, as well as looking ahead to the upcoming tie against Monterrey. There's the obligatory mention of brand Beckham from the UK paper, but Graham Parker does a good job of using it to highlight the Galaxy's current transition and the importance of CCL.
  • The CONCACAF Gold Cup schedule was released yesterday, with the Rose Bowl getting Canada vs. Martinique and Mexico vs. Panama. With World Cup Qualifying going on this summer, the Gold Cup will likely see a younger B-squad for the United States. Omar Gonzalez, Landon Donvoan, A.J. DeLaGarza, Jose Villarreal, and Jack McBean could all be quite busy this summer with the various national tournaments going on.
  • The LA Galaxy are slated to take on Toronto FC on March 30th and then the Montreal Impact on on April 6th. Somewhere between April 2-4 the Galaxy will take on Monterrey, which coincides with Landon Donovan's expected return date. The reserve league kicks off on April 7th, so we'll see which of the three matches that first week of April sees Donovan take his first competitive steps.
