Juninho came up huge with the brace, but Landon Donovan was the man of the match with an assist on all four of the Galaxy's goals tonight as LA defeated Chivas USA 4-0. The Galaxy take the SuperClasico, as they have every year except 2007.

Landon Donovan's four assists tonight is a single match career high for him, and gives him 105 career assists; fourth all time in MLS. He now has 11 assists on the season, taking him from 8th in the MLS assist column to first over the course of one match.

The Galaxy returned to the super back line of last season for the first time in 2012, Todd Dunivant returning knocking AJ DeLaGarza back into center back and David Junior Lopes out of the eighteen man roster. It's not much of a feating keeping a clear sheet against Chivas, who have scored the fewest goals in MLS this year, but it's still a good sign after giving up four goals last week against Seattle. The old back line looked in sync as well, catching Chivas offside seven times during the match.

The Galaxy went into halftime up 1-0, on the back of a Robbie Keane goal. Keane took a pass from Donovan inside the penalty area after Donovan pulled Dan Kennedy out of position, and Kennedy was able to smash the ball in with his left foot. It took some marvelous saves from Dan Kennedy to keep Chivas in it through the first half, but things were blown open after the teams came back out of the tunnels.

Juninho's 64' strike from outside the box on paper looks to fit in with his power strikes from the last two seasons, but this time Juninho did it with finesse. Not content with just one, Landon Donovan was able to chip it past an out of position Chivas defense giving Juninho a tap in completing the brace.

With David Beckham in London watching his wife perform in the closing cermonies, Landon Donovan took an 84' corner kick with Omar Gonzalez got on the end of opening his 2012 goal account. It was a night of complete domination by the Galaxy.

Next for the Galaxy is a midweek match against Columbus, with Landon Donovan leaving the team and joining the United States men's team in Mexico. David Beckham will rejoin the club, who have the weekend off.
