Happy Game Day Galaxy fans! Today we'll read a couple of previews on today's match, from the newspapers of record in the respective cities. If you want to try and win some Josie points, go ahead of post your lineup prediction in the comments. I'll give it a go as well, I'm a good sport:

Saunders; Dunivant, DeLaGarza, Meyer, Franklin; Sarvas, Juninho, Beckham, Magee; Buddle, Keane

I think Bruce Arena kept Tommy Meyer out of the lineup on Wednesday not wanting him to make his debut in that environment. Still, he trained with the A-squad all offseason, I can't imagine his debut will be delayed all that much. On a different note, I don't think Landon Donovan's body is 100%, and he'll be needed for the return leg on Wednesday. He might come in at the 60' mark.

On to the papers:

Galaxy schedule brings challenge -
When the Galaxy opens its league season Saturday night at the Home Depot Center against Real Salt Lake, it will be playing the second of four games in a 12-day stretch, a test of stamina brought on by the overlapping schedules of the CONCACAF Champions League and MLS.

Galaxy Preview: MLS champs ready to be challenged - LA Daily News
If the Galaxy were hoping to pick up from where they left off, theyre off to a fine start in 2012. But enough about coach Bruce Arena still going to battle with interviewers. Tonight they open the Major League Soccer season at Home Depot Center against Real Salt Lake, one of their major challengers to the MLS Cup the Galaxy captured in November, and you might as well cue up all the hot topics from 2011.
