When a player manages a point on every goal of a 3-0 victory, chances are that player will end up with a super high Match Impact Rating and tonight was no different with Robbie Keane finishing with a Match Impact Rating of 113.75 to claim the MIR player of the match once again.

Here you can see Robbie Keane through ball to Sean Franklin making a run on the wing, his two goals (both inside the goal area) and a foul he picked up. He did not concede a foul, though he was called offside twice. His MIR would have been astronomical had he been able to stay onside.

Next on the MIR list is Sean Franklin who managed assists on two of the Galaxy's three goals tonight. Opta has Franklin's first assist headed in the wrong direction, but it was that lay-off pass to Landon Donovan that Donovan then chipped over to Robbie Keane. Franklin then also got the first assist on Mike Magee's goal for an MIR of 59.75 as a defender. Quite impressive.
Christian Wilhelmsson with one assist finished with 44.7, Landon Donovan with an assist finished at 43.4 (Donovan went more minutes, diluting the average). Mike Magee, the other goal scorer, finished at 42.75. David Beckham finished at 20. The two Brazilians played hard in the middle but didn't have much offensive impact finishing with 0.5 between them.
The easy conclusion to make here is that the Galaxy were able to exploit the right side of the pitch with Keane, Franklin, Donovan, and Wilhelmsson all getting assists from that side. Seattle had problems defending that flank, especially after they pressed for a goal after halftime.
Match Impact Rating is graciously given to LAG Confidential by Patrick Johnston.
