Perhaps the most superfulously interesting thing about tonight's match about Mexico is that the US will be wearing shirts without names on the back, and with the traditional 1-11 numbering. Reserves will wear 12-18. I for one love it. College Football is full of stories of coaches doing similar things to uniforms before a big match to get people focused.
The idea, of course, is that it's telling the players they are less important than the team. And hey, it's the reason why wearing 10 is such an honor. Hopefully Landon Donovan will be in that first striker spot on the roster.
