If you want a little trip down memory lane, or if you've got $75 bucks lying around, check out this 2006 LA Galaxy Landon Donovan jersey. I love how you can read old kits to get a sense of their place in history. One star for the Galaxy's title in 2002. The scudetto on the left for the MLS Cup the Galaxy won in 2005, featuring the old MLS Cup trophy that looked like a wizard hat. The patch for president and general manager Doug Hamilton who died of a heart attack that year. Alexi Lalas would soon be brought on board. Budweiser as the major shirt sponsor, done is a style consistent with the Mexican League.

Of course, this would be the codetta for the glory years of Galaxy soccer, as the next two years would involve trying to figure out how to fold in David Beckham. Of course, all that turmoil leading to Bruce Arena's arrival, the righting of the ship, and the third MLS title.

Which is all to say, I'd love to see a yellow third kit. Let's see what the papers are saying about the LA Galaxy.
