Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen. Soccer was weird yesterday. In Manchester, City beats United 6-1 at Old Trafford? Then in London, QPR plays Chelsea 11 men to 9, but only manages to win 1-0 and that's a scrape job? So when I saw the B-lineup Bruce Arena ever so rightly trotted out because the result meant nothing and any injury would be terrible, I thought, well this is just more weird. On the TV they said that eight of the starters weren't even in Houston, they flew back to LA for some R&R. Way to go Bruce. Now, let's see what the broadsheets (and one website) had to say:

Needing a victory to avoid the wild-card round, the Dynamo had no trouble with a weakened Galaxy lineup before a crowd of 30,018, which was the sixth largest to watch a soccer game at Robertson Stadium. By finishing the regular season with a six-game unbeaten streak, the Dynamo earned an automatic berth in the playoffs.
