Here we go. The United States Men's National Team are set to take on Ecuador, who are no sneeze. CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying is already underway, and Ecuador are off to a good start with a 2-0 victory over Venezuela on Friday.

I realize may have been too glib regarding Honduras. They're one of the six CONCACAF teams with an auto-bid into the third round of World Cup 2014 Qualifying. That Jurgen Klinsmann win looks pretty good in that light. Costa Rica is also one of the auto-bids.

That means since Klinsmann took over as head coach, the US have faced three of the toughest opponents CONCACAF has to offer. All of these matches are of huge import as Klinsmann prepares the US to start the process toward World Cup qualifying next summer.
