Not sure the fit really works for Chicago. Though a big name player (even if they aren't playing well... or at all) tends to help fill a stadium. Biggest concern with this is, it doesn't help MLS progress beyond the "retirement" league narrative.
Looks like his immigration status is a little more settled now. That's good for him. He looked solid in preseason. Here's hoping he does with with Los Dos this year!
Nigel de Jong has received a retroactive suspension for his tackle on Darlington Nagbe over the weekend. However, the length of the suspension will likely be decided in the next few hours.

Chris Wondolowski believes the LA Galaxy, a world-class organization, winners of five MLS cups, with a no nonsense coach known for making diamonds out of coal, are the league's "Primadonnas".
Though the quality of the finish is exquisite, its the buildup that has got to have Galaxy fans salivating.
As you can see in the photo, crew members are at work prepping the stadium for what will likely be Gio's MLS debut in front of a raucous sold-out StubHub Center. In between the stands and the upper deck, you can see "This is LA" advertising as well as a quasar design under construction. The work is part of the Galaxy's off-season plans to refurbish the StubHub Center, but with Gio's arrival, the timing couldn't be better. Getting excited yet? You should be.
