When trying to predict a lineup for tonight's match, the question needing an answer is "will Bruce Arena stick with the 4-3-3?". Who Scored certainly thinks they will, but Who Scored also doesn't realize that Jose Villarreal is away on international duty. So we're gonna have to do some wrestling with their match preview.
Substitute Gyasi Zardes for Jose Villarreal and they're suggesting the same lineup I've been touting all week. LA have the rest edge on the Timbers, with Portland in the middle of a four match/twelve day schedule. Rodney Wallace won't be ready to go, so both teams are dealing with an absence that could make the defensive back line shaky.
It's not terribly shocking that Who Scored would predict an LA Goal off a turnover, but especially against a back line that gives up a lot of scoring opportunities it seems quite likely. LA will likely play a high line catching Portland offside often, but it's also likely Portland could see success in the air from the wings.
A one-one draw would have been a fine result in Sandy, Utah, but the club has to be feeling victory or bust after some shaky form over the past few weeks.
It'll be good to get Robbie Keane back, perhaps more than anything else that could be the key to this matchup. That and shoring up the giant hole in the Galaxy back line.
