The LA Galaxy are in Costa Rica for their knockout tie with CS Herediano. They've gone with a slightly different lineup than their high scoring home opener.
The LA Galaxy and CS Herediano are set to kick off their knockout tie in Costa Rica at a 5:00 PST on Fox Soccer. The Galaxy lineup has been released and there are some changes. Colin Clark is cup-tied, and starting the knockout stage on the road this has led to Bruce Arena going with a more conservative lineup.
Mike Magee and Robbie Keane remain up top together, and while Magee showed off his finishing ability on Sunday it's not the same as having a quick young forward partnering with Keane. Arena has Jack McBean and Charlie Rugg on the bench, so there's still the possibility of a super sub.
Sean Franklin moves back to the midfield, and Arena goes with Hector Jimenez and Michael Stephens as his wide midfielders. With Franklin moving DeLaGarza into central defense, Leonardo starts the match on the bench.
LA Galaxy subs: Perk, Leonardo, Sorto, Cochrane, Garcia, McBean, Rugg
Herediano are quick up top, so DeLaGarza and Gonzalez will have some work cut out for them. Guessing from the team sheet, Herediano will run a 4-3-3.
CS Herediano: Cambronero; Montero, Obando, Salazar, Francis; Granados, Ramirez, Angular; Sanchez, Ruiz, Diaz
CS Herediano Subs: Moreira, Johnson, Gomez, Hernandez, Barbosa, Nunez, Lopez
