The Eddie Johnson rumours continue to take shape, but in the mean time a town hall gathering at the StubHub Center has given us some idea of how the 2014 roster will take shape. LA Galaxy President Chris Klein told fans that there will not be too many changes from the 2013 roster. No official announcements have been made on some players known to be in contract flux, but word is the midfield battery should remain intact.
Chris Klein mentions that Marcelo Sarvas and Juninho are returning for 2014. Also says club needs FWD & wide player.

Juninho was sure to return, but the word from Marcelo Sarvas at the end of the season was that he'd need a new contract to continue on. They'll have Baggio Husidic joining them as Arena is faced with the challenge of figuring who will play on the wing.
Landon Donovan was also there to address rumours that he's going to play in Mexico or go on loan this offseason. He stayed true to the message he's given from the beginning, that he was going to use the offseason to heal from injury and begin training again in January. There was no way Donovan would have been in form for a January/February loan.
"I unequivocally want to retire as a #LAGalaxy player." It sounds like @landondonovan will be at the @StubHubCenter for a long time.

The needs Klein spoke of in the town hall are no different from the needs Bruce Arena discussed. If that forward spot isn't filled by Eddie Johnson, it'll be interesting to see if LA continues to pursue that position or if efforts are concentrated on that wide player.
