Ending months of speculation, David Beckham will be joining French side Paris-St. Germain. The 37 year old midfielder left the LA Galaxy after MLS Cup.

David Beckham is joining French side Paris-St. Germain, a year after their initial bid for the former LA Galaxy midfielder according to reports by the BBC and Association Press. The 37 year old has been training with London side Arsenal, and is expected to start formal training in Paris after a physical.

Update: Beckham's stint at PSG is for 5 months, with his salary going to children's charity.

When Beckham turned down a $12 million offer from PSG last MLS offseason to rejoin the LA Galaxy, AEG's Tim Leiweke would not confirm if the two year contract had that second year as an option year. Turns out it did, and Beckham chose not only to announce he was leaving the Galaxy, but he also was able to lay low during transfer window speculation. This last day of the window announcement was almost unexpected.

The Galaxy have until April 15th to work out a deal to bring in a third DP; transfer windows are a one way thing and MLS is currently in its primary transfer window. No rumors have been buzzing about the sale of Omar Gonzalez or Landon Donovan, despite some speculation this offseason. Frank Lampard's arrival has been heavily rumored, but nothing definite as of yet.
