KANSAS CITY, Kan -- The LA Galaxy are all set to open up MLS road play against Sporting Kansas City at Livestrong Park. David Beckham did not make the trip to Kansas City, but Landon Donovan is back in the starting XI. Michael Stephens gets his first start of the year in place of Beckham. Otherwise, it's more of the same lineup the Galaxy have used all March.
Two quick notes from Opta Jack. Edson Buddle has committed more fouls, 18 total (including offside), than any other player in MLS 2012. Also worth noting, Sporting KC have the highest possession percentage in MLS so far this season. Lack of control vs. control.
