As a result of the Seattle Sounders managing a better result than the LA Galaxy could over the weekend, LA is locked into fourth place in the Western Conference and will host the Vancouver Whitecaps on Thursday, November 1st in a play in game for the Western Conference quarterfinals. The winner of the play in game will face Supporters Shield winners San Jose in a home and home quarterfinal series.
