An MLS first in the Premier League

In today's Aston Villa vs Everton game both teams used players on loan from the LA Galaxy. Landon Donovan played a strong game and got an assist. It should have been his second of the game since Luis Saha was clearly fouled on a play when Landon made a beautiful cross and Saha was in place for an easy header. No penalty was given.

Robbie Keane came on late in the game for Aston Villa and made some nice plays. He looked dangerous but didn't score.

The value of these short-term deals has been discussed elsewhere, but as a Galaxy fan it was a very cool thing to see two of our players going against each other in the top league in the world.
