As the Los Angeles Galalxy get ready to improve on their all time 24-15-7 record against the San Jose Earthquakes (although it's 11-9-4 in favor of San Jose in SJ), here's some reading material to get you through your morning:

  • Over at SBN Los Angeles, I wrote game previews for the California Clasico, as well as the headlining Gold Cup Final
  • The Kansas City Star had a thing or two to say about the fines MLS handed down this afternoon.
  • Check out the Corner of the Galaxy podcast, which may be featuring yours truly next week.
  • Scott French at ESPNLA has a nice piece of Maurice Edu, a SoCal native on the national team, looking for his chance to play.
  • Grahme L. Jones at the LA Times sets up the Women's World Cup, kicking off this Sunday. This Cal alumnus would like to wish Alex Morgan a hearty Go Bears!
