Ahead of this evening's MLS Re-Entry draft, it's time to update our salary chart with those we've lost since midseason. Kyle Davies was traded to Toronto for Dasan Robinson who was on the non-salary roster and now is entering the re-entry draft. Donovan Ricketts was protected in the expansion draft and then traded to the Montreal Impact for allocation money. Gregg Berhalter retired, and Jovan Kirovski's status is a mystery. Frankie Hejduk is in the re-entry draft, but we won't remove him until he has a new team. Adam Cristman was originally announced as taking place in the re-entry draft, but withdrew on Friday and will likely re-negotiate a contract with the LA Galaxy.
Of course, David Beckham is the biggest question mark. The fact that it's dragged on this long, I think either he'll announce he's going to PSG right when the Galaxy land back in LA, or he's staying with the Galaxy. Even still, the Galaxy have a few holes to fill on their senior roster.
Still, I don't expect Bruce Arena to make a move in today's first round. Last year, Arena selected Juan Pablo Angel in the second round, but there isn't a name like that in the draft this year. Bobby Convey, who fell out of favor with Frank Yallop, signed with Sporting Kansas City who traded an international spot for the right to negotiate with him.
