So is this just a weekend for international friendlies since Europe is off for Euro qualifiers?

I like to think of it as
“Galaxy Rest Week”
It is a FIFA International week(end)
What the confederations do with it is their choice. Next year this time CONCACAF will no doubt be using it for World Cup qualifiers. Right now we are just using it for tuneups/revenue.
I played a little goalkeeper in high school. Never saw the need to dress down my defenders.
I know this is a common thing for goalkeepers, so I don’t really think he’s a bad teammate.

The USSF academy system basically forbids its teams to play a 4-4-2, unless they use a diamond like the Galaxy. And yet…
Rather dogmatic, eh
How many teams have won with the straight 4-4-2?
it’s out of favor these days though. I feel like when teams come out in 4-4-2, the play by play folk almost start apologizing for the team
Winning trumps all
But dare I say Barcelona have won with talent rather than tactics. Fabio Capello won a lot of games with it. I’m sure at some point it will come back in style.
He is sort of the
defensive coach on the field, and has to be heard above all the other noise.
Arizona. Beavs almost blew a 30-6 second half lead.
Ended up winning 37-27.

How many people are at this game in Miami?
For all of “Miami Ultras” yapping about needing an MLS team, I think we had more people in Nashville for the Paraguay game.
going back to Miami would be a mistake. Going back to Tampa, would be a mistake. going back to San Jose was a mistake. Nashville or New Orleans should get #20
If it isn't college football
I’m not convinced any team in Florida can draw.

I don’t know how it would work in soccer, but yeah, with the new stadium they will be drawing just fine.
They had to put in their time to get that stadium built, including threatening to move to northern new jersey.

The market size obviously could, it’s ten times bigger than basically every other MLB market.
But ya, I don’t know how long it would take to get people to adopt the team. You still have a ton of Rangers/Knicks fans in Northern New Jersey.

An astonishing 22 million people live in the NY metro area. Next largest is LA metro with 13 million.

An MLS team in Nashville
would be nice, but I don’t think it is ready for it. Maybe in 10 or 15 years… now the World Cup on the other hand…
I love how subjective soccer is
SoccerByIves: Danny Williams and Mo Edu coming out. Not a bad debut for Williams. He clearly can play. Young, with a bright USMNT future.
sgevans: Williams coming off for U.S – didn’t really show too much in his debut
