Good morning Cosmonauts! What did you get up to? Did you watch the Columbus Crew take on the Colorado Rapids streaming on MLSsoccer.com? I sure didn't, there was an all time great World Series game happening. This World Series sure is a great advertisement for Championship games. The US Sports Fan (tm) does understand you can have championships without playoffs, right? Happened for like sixty years in the US. 

Anyhow, let's dive into it. We've got a couple of broadsheets talking about LA Galaxy @ New York Red Bulls, as well as a report that Robbie Keane will named for Ireland's Euro playoff squad. Reports came out of Galaxy camp before they flew to New York that Keane was practicing with the first team. So, we'll wait and see. 

To wrap things in a bow, there are also a couple of pieces from a blog. I don't know about this internet thing though, seems like a fad.

The Red Bulls will play host to the high-profile Galaxy, who finished first in the regular season and whose roster includes David Beckham, the biggest name in the league.

But just for a moment here or there, it seemed to be fun to take a potshot or two as the final eight teams begin the chase for the MLS Cup.

SOCCER EURO 2012 QUALIFYING: Estonia v Rep of Ireland:ROBBIE KEANE looks certain to be named by Giovanni Trapattoni this morning in the extended Republic of Ireland squad for the forthcoming Euro 2012 play-off games against Estonia after a senior member of the coaching staff at his club, LA Galaxy, suggested he is on course to be fit again over the next week or so.
